Color of the Night

Color of the Night

“What hath night to do with sleep?”
— John Milton

I want to just take a second to thank my parents for paying for most of my new camera. Without their help, I would still be a photographer without his own camera! But yes for Christmas they pitched in and helped me get my baby back, the Nikon D810.

On a different note, I have had more than a handful of people asking me if I have a 2017 calendar for sale. Unfortunately, I don't. And I can't start now because it's already over halfway through January. HOWEVER. Since there were a surprising amount of people interested, I am going to use a picture I take from each month this year and put together a fantastic calendar for 2018! Ya'll should be excited because I'm going to make it good.

Now with the snow beginning to recede, I thought maybe I should go out shooting before it all goes away! I walked over seven miles last night (since I still don't have my license back), and encountered some beautiful lighting on account of the moon, the low clouds, and the reflecting glow of the snow on the ground. I intended to go out and see stars, but I forgot the full moon was out only a couple days ago. Instead, I used this to my advantage. Also let it be known that I got back home at 5am. Ha! Enjoy.
